I’m a fan of John’s Replace Myself program, his website OnlineJobs.ph has tons of very highly qualified Philippines workers for as low as $2/hr.

Also, Chris Ducker’s Virtual Staff Finder.com can hand-pick a VA in the Philippines for you if you’re looking to hire someone full-time. John’s service also has this feature, but Chris seems to have a streamlined operation there. His other business is a 200+ person call center!

Just some helpful places to look, hope this helps.

Just like in every industry, there are a few rotten apples that sour the well. In my market (Atlanta) it seems like every new & potential client I meet with says “I’ve been burned by an Internet Marketing ‘Expert’ that just outsourced everything and never got anything done.”

I agree with you 100% – outsourcing is the only way to scale. It’s too bad more Internet Marketers aren’t researching the industry & outsourcing companies first before taking contracts and then struggling to fulfill them properly.

Great article, however I strongly disagree on the last point (suggesting to pick CPM over CPC model). I learnt during my Facebook-advertising-experience that due to banner blindness CTR levels are much lower on Facebook than CTRs on most other display advertising sources, therefore CPM model will cause you to pay much more in order to receive substantial amount of clicks. Plus you’ll be paying for many impressions which are absolutely worthless to you (banner blindness). With such high rate of ads-immune viewers I wouldn’t suggest using CPM to anyone, instead try to improve your conversion rates, which will bring down cost/conversion, therefore CPC level won’t beat you down.

Excellent post!

Definitely food for thought. This post is timely for me (followed it over from Lynn Terry’s blog). I just today cleaned out my walk in closet and ‘stuff’ in the house. Came away with 8 bags of clothes, 2 garbage bags and 1 box of stuff. I’ve also got a HUGE desk in my living room that I currently work from but I’ve been threatening again and again to get rid of and just work from a good laptop.

I think the most ‘stuff’ you have in your house too the more distracted you are as it has to be kept in it’s ‘place’ or drive you crazy being out and messy. Anyway, I’ve decided: I’m getting rid of this massive desk. At the very least I’m going to use the ‘other’ desk which is half the size and work my way down from there.

The truth is that one person can’t do it all, and if they tried to…then their time will be swallowed up each day. Allowing other people to tackle the simple task will free you up on doing networking which will bring in more traffic and sales.

I agree with you. I don’t think that banner ads are dead. It’s just a matter of offering your banner in a way where people don’t consider it as spam or garbage.
