Welcome to the latest and greatest From Idea To Empire Weekcap (weekly recap, that is). In the FITE Weecaps, I share the coolest stuff that came out this week across the web in the digital marketing and entrepreneurial space. You’ll love it!
Let’s start off in the how-to realm:
Create Stunning Video With Out The Stunner Price
In my recent Renegade Startup launch, I produced the pre-launch and sales videos using a two camera setup. Surprise! It didn’t cost an arm and a leg and I used my iPhone for the second camera! I’d always thought two camera shoots were for the Southern California moneybags with their professional studios and gobs of on-site staff, but I learned from the two videos I’m about to share with you how to produce and edit a two camera video and more importantly, WHY you would want to. Video one covers why you’d want to film that way and video 2 covers how to edit your dual clips to one cohesive whole. For the record, my launch videos were edited in Screenflow. Simple as it gets.
Those videos are published free of charge, as part of my Crowd Mountain crowdsourced internet marketing training project. Do you have a top, trick or how-to tutorial you’d like to share with the community too? Contribue to Crowd Mountain here!
A Week In My Flip-Flops
This week I released my Week In The Life of a Digital Marketer video. It surprised a lot of people. Have a watch here for a look at what I do in my biz on a day-to-day basis.
Inside The Mastermind
Inside the Renegade Startup private members area, a new Video Strategy Session went up, this one covering your options for split testing WordPress themes – not just single elements of a page. We also conducted and recorded a new Q&A session, which you can download here if you’re a member.
In the forum, members discussed:
- Optimizing for mobile
- Cloning sites
- Content curation
- Posts vs. Pages in WordPress
- Using a Virtual Assistant
- Decreasing site load time
…And TONS more. If you’re a member, spend some time today catching up! If you’re not, why not join today? It’s the best deal in the industry!
I’ve been using Instagram quite a bit, which means I’m taking a lot of photos. If you’re on Instagram, you can follow me, I’m @michellemacphearson – but be forewarned, it’s mostly personal stuff & stuff in other niches I’m in, NOT marketing content. I use the Instagram shots for quick Facebook fan page updates and even inside regular blog posts like this one.
I came across two guides (Guide #1 and Guide #2), each with a list of apps that’ll help you turn your boring snapshots into eye catching photographs. Some killer resources there for both iPhone and Android.
Schema Creator Plugin from Raven Tools
Finally, Raven Tools announced their handy Schema Creator WordPress plugin, which is a super cool way to start to include structured data in your website. It’s simple and clean and does what it says on the tin. Thanks Raven!
