    Hi Michelle

Loved the interview with Lori, I guess I do follow people in niches other than my own because I find there are always different perspectives on things and as I don’t know everything I need to, I find their information useful. Also because my business covers a lot of topics (I would love some feedback on how to narrow this down :) )this also accounts for my variety of follows. The one thing I do agree on though is not just to follow back for the #s I too always check the person website and tweets.
    Regards
    Anne

    Hi Michelle,

It’s my first time here. Just watched the video. Good stuff. Bookmarked. Think I’ll be spending more hours here learning about social media.

    Hello Michelle,

Great video, it definitely hit the mark (and provided a little incentive to create my own video on this and a related matter).

When first starting to research the ins and outs of online marketing, I was quickly enlightened into the need for valuable content across many venues.

It was great to be reminded of that fact!

You also hit another key note about setting up on your own domain. I learned that the hard way when a blog hosted on one of the “free” domains was suddenly “suspended” even though it contained 90% value-oriented content.

Live and learn; fortunately most of the posts were backed up.

Thanks again for the reminders and insight, I look forward to hearing more.

Love the video Michelle and have already asked howie Shwartz in his blackhat is back 2 live recordings question about this matter and how it will effect him , but in end if Google didn’t want us to do social marketing like on Squidoo or Wikkidot they wouldn’t put Adsense on these pages, and yes some sites like Hubpages have changed but that is down to Hubpages and not Google . Yes there will be changes but not as far reaching in my mind as to be major

    Michelle
I just watched the twitter video and it was excellent,The reason Google gave Squidoo the smack down is cause they don’t like SETH :) and bloggers that have no comments on their blogs especially if their no do follow like ours :)
Anyway just playing but I had to hold back stumbling alot of your stuff and will be more then happy to lend a hand if necessary.Damn your so cute it’s hard to concentrate on your videos :)
Tell your husband DONT screw UP :)

This Social media slap sucks, my site just disappeared from the serps after ranking on page 1 for many good keywords in a very short amount of time. The funny thing is all my social media properties that link back to me were not slapped, just my domain.

After watching your video I’m still unclear whether we need unique content on every individual social media 2.0 site, like squidoo, hubpages, zimbio, etc. With so many of them, will I now need to create something like 100 unique articles to place on each one or does it matter? I figure with article directories this goes without saying, but I’m not sure about the other type of sites.

How does this apply to – http://www.30minutebacklinks.com?
    Still a valid method?

    Thanks,
    Ken

@Ken – Part of what I mention on the 30 Minute BL salespage is that one should ALWAYS get links from as many sources as possible. That being said, 30MinBL links are not from social media sites.

    Thanks for the quick reply.
What I meant was that a massive # of links from any one source (social media or not).
Won’t google eventually discount all of these approaches?

    Thanks,
    Ken
