You may or may not have noticed, depending on how you read my posts here – but I’ve switched domains.

This isn’t Michelle MacPhearson anymore. Well, it IS me writing, but we’re not on that domain any longer. The new domain is FromIdeaToEmpire.com.

Why the switch?

Because I’ve reframed everything.

See, I’ve been talking for years about how we’re really, as “internet marketers” using a publishing model. We create content and then we sell it or put ads on it. That’s being a publisher.

The stupid part is that we don’t act like actual publishing houses. We try to do everything ourselves. We try to be the writer and the bookbinder and the agent and the marketing department.

We try to build sites and gain authority in marketplaces that we don’t give a crap about, we produce sub-par content in, and then we wonder why it’s not working.

Wouldn’t it work better if we just did what WE were best at? Getting sites up, driving traffic, doing SEO.

And let a passionate pro who really cared – because real caring can’t be faked – did what they were best at?

That’s why I’m not on MichelleMacPhearson.com anymore – because what I’m teaching has nothing to do with me. I want YOU to take your idea and build an empire around it.

Here’s the funny part – I’m making the switch just in time (across all my sites).  This business of running multiple blogs across niches and phoning in the content? It’s unsustainable.
